The Founder: A Legacy of Vision and Values
The Auguston community was founded by Mr. Au Bak Ling (1928 - 2019), a man whose life story is as extraordinary as the community he helped bring to life. Born with limited formal education, Mr. Au dedicated himself to self-study, mastering both English and classical Chinese. His entrepreneurial spirit, combined with deep values of virtue, wisdom, courage, and persistence, led him to build a global business portfolio across publishing, manufacturing, real estate, and land development.
Auguston was one of his most meaningful projects—a reflection of his belief in creating places that uplift people, foster connection, and live in harmony with nature. Beyond business, Mr. Au was a devoted philanthropist, championing youth, education, and social welfare through long-standing charitable initiatives in Canada, China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Today, his legacy lives on through the Au family and Auguston Town Development Inc., which remains committed to growing Auguston with the same integrity, care, and long-term vision that guided its founder. This community is not only built with intention—it’s built with heart.
